- The guides carry the day. The linked chain up the terraces is what gets nervous climbers to the top, and it is the single most-praised part of every listing here.
- Pickup time is not ticket time. The time chosen at checkout is usually arrival at the park; hotel collection starts 30 to 60 minutes earlier. Confirming the pickup directly the day before removes the problem entirely.
- The paid photo package is a gamble. It costs around US$40 and delivery is not always reliable. A waterproof case for your own phone costs a fraction of it.
- Distance costs falls time. Trips from Falmouth, Montego Bay and Negril spend real hours on the road. Check the drive against the time on site before you choose.

I was worried about slipping, and was struck that they scrub the algae off the main path. Wear decent water shoes, take it slowly, and you can absolutely do this.
